Separation and divorce counselling
When people are separating or divorcing, therapy can help support them through what is often a stressful and painful process. It can also help separating couples to co-operate and resolve issues between them, which may be having a negative impact on their children or on the process of separating.
I see people together or as individuals in my practice at Family Law in Partnership. I have a particular experience in this area and the consultations I offer can support and work alongside legal proceedings or mediation. Before training as a therapist I was a family lawyer so I have an understanding of what the legal process involves and can use this to inform my work.
I am also a trained collaborative law family consultant and can work alongside collaborative lawyers to support the process.
An initial consultation can be arranged with one or both partners to discuss what might be appropriate and helpful.
